Hello again! We are still celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. It is truly amazing to learn how great of an impact Hispanics have had, and STILL have on our agriculture system in the U.S. Watch this video to learn more about Representative De la Garza, along with two more extremely impactful people. Dolores Clara Huerta was a hidden leader in The Farmworkers' Movement , and is still active today. Evangalina Villegas was a Mexican cereal botanist whose work with maize led to the development of high-quality protein maize. Read here about her history and accomplishments.

We are so excited to see such a wonderful turnout last week! We welcomed two new vendors: Unrefined Baking Company and Focused Cosmetics. Nicole of Unrefined Baking Company makes wonderful sourdough breads and will be with us every other week. Mya of Focused Cosmetics makes candles and body care products that are all vegan. They also smell amazing!
Loy is bringing sweet potatoes, peaches, plums, watermelon, tomatoes, onions, muscadines and scuppernongs, mangoes, and peppers. He likes to surprise us with a few extras, too, so be sure to come on out and see what he has! Ms. Eva is bringing her boiled peanuts and roasted peanuts, dried herbs and spices, and some other surprises.
